I have read that it is best not to have a car in Sintra, but we will have one., although we don’t plan to drive it once it is parked. We plan to stay two nights. Does anyone know of a reasonable hotel with parking? Or a place to park the car and leave it for 2 days? I’ve read you can park at the train station. Has anyone had e perience with this?

We will be there in a couple weeks — and will also have a car. We will be staying at Casa do Valle which offers free parking. We have not stayed there yet, but reviews look great and parking is a huge bonus. https://casadovalle.com/

I stayed at the Casa do Valle this summer and was very impressed. The staff are super friendly and helpful, and the views of the Moorish Castle are amazing. Parking is pretty easy for a tiny town like Sintra, but do be prepared for the walk from the hotel up to the city center which is very steep.
