We currently have a trip planned to Lisbon/Sintra for 1 week in late November/early December (traveling to Portugal right after Thanksgiving). While I know that the weather might be chilly and wet at times, we want to be as Covid-careful as possible, so I'm wondering if there will be any options for outdoor dining in Lisbon? Last year in Boston, some places kept their outdoor dining set-ups through winter with heating lamps, etc, so I'm wondering if there might be similar options for our trip.
Since it never gets that cold, dining outside happens year round. The bigger issue in the winter is the rain. If it’s raining, windy and cool, it’s pretty miserable outside. Due to covid, many more restaurants have tables outside, blankets and I saw a few heaters last winter.
Bear in mind that Portugal has run out of people to vaccinate! And, people are compliant with mask mandates far more than in the States..
Here’s hoping you get some of the glorious sunny days we have that time of the year!
