Hi:
What's the best website for driving directions from Portugal to Spain? The best I can find is , www.mapquest.com/?region=Portugal, but it only gives directions between cities, eg Sagres to Seville. Where can I get more specific directions, ie from 1 hotel to another in those two countries?

www.viamichelin.com and www.google.nl/maps both have route planners with great detail

I would rely more on Michelin for Europe, and not just because I've had problems with Google directions in various places.

Use Michelin.
It gives you the lot including fuel usage, tolls, restricted speeds and why, construction, and times.

If you are using google maps you don't need to go to the country you are looking at. You get the same information using your default google maps, the only thing that changes is the language if you want it to.

Nigel: Thanks for the Michelin suggestion; you're so right! www.viamichelin.com was near perfect, excepting the print was a bit small. Take care, John
