Olive oil 'experiences' between Evora and Tavira

We are looking to see some olives! We have a car and are driving from Evora to Tavira on Oct 25 and would love to see (even better if we can casually participate) in some kind of olive harvest, production or tasting. Does anyone have any recommendations?

We are open to anything, but my hotel in Evora sent these 3 links and it's kind of hard to parse what they actually have going on at each one:

  • Herdade dos Grous in Beja (this one looks like it might be more of a resort)
  • Figueirinha in Beja (this one looks the most promising, I sent them an email)
  • Olivais do Sul in Monte do Trigo (Portel) (I can't really tell if we can visit this one!)

thanks in advance!

We are going in April and I'm also very interested in this (obviously not harvest time but visiting and tasting)...following. Sorry I can't offer advice.

Figueirinha could only do a tour for us later in the afternoon, but we stopped by anyways (the person I emailed with told me they had a shop). There were two tour buses when we got there and we could see people up on an upper level drinking wine and using their phones :).

We went inside to what seem to be an office/call-center and two women awkwardly came out and helped us get a bunch of stuff. We ended up getting a bottle of wine, olives, olive oil, and really delicious almonds for €17. It wasn’t a particular special experience though. Maybe if you could do the tour it’s worth a visit!
