Obidos Christmas Village

I read somewhere that there is a Christmas event from November until January 5th in the town of Obidos. From pictures I have seen, it looks like a theme park which we want to avoid, and just enjoy Obidos as it normally is. We wanted to time our visit so that the Christmas Village has been removed and the castle can be visited again. Does anyone know when normal operations of the castle resume? Thank you!

I don’t know for certain but the Christmas theme events in the Lisbon region end the first week in January - 6-7th. I’m guessing Obidos will be similar. I’m thinking the dates should be listed on the webpage for the event.
