Just realized that our last day in Portugal will be Nov. 1,, All Saints Day and a national holiday. How can I expect that to affect traveling and touring.

It won’t affect anything you might be doing. Public transport will run on the weekend schedule and banks will be closed. That’s pretty much it. Of course, a lot of people will have the day off but these are businesses, not anything in the service/tourist industry.
