No not necessarily. We are staying in Alfama district, so thanks for your reply. So it doesn’t have to be, just thought it would be easier. So what are your recommendations convenient to Alfama? Thank you

Last October we ate at O Segredo D'Alfama and the food was amazing. It is a small family run restaurant that also has Fado performances. I can still remember pork cheeks and fresh crispy skin cod fillet. It is in a nice neighborhood (safe to walk) and explore before dinner. We ate around 9:00 p.m., but the restaurant opens at 7:00 p.m. Check out their website for photos, reviews, and reservations. If I were to go back to Lisbon, would go again.
