Staying near the Avenida Metro Station in Lisbon?

Our plan has always been to find a place in the Baixa/Chaido districts in Lisbon but we've found an outstanding AirBnB near the Avenida Metro Station on Avenuda de Liberdade. Has anyone stayed in this area? Thoughts as a base for a week to 10 days?

No problem. I stayed there for business for 4 nights. The boulevard is scenic. There are more locals at the restaurants in this area.

I also stayed there for 4 nights and found it very convenient to shops, cafes, restaurants and metro connections as well as an easy walk to the more touristy Restauradores and Rossio stops. The Avenida metro station was closed for a minor holiday the day I was leaving, but walking a few minutes to Restauradores with my roller bag was no problem.

Thanks for the confirmation of the area. I've found the precise location of the house on another website and it's about a block away from the hospital and a 6 minute walk to the Avenida station. I'm surprised how compact Lisbon is in this area, it appears to only be a 15 minute walk to Baixia as well, so maybe even being near the Metro isn't a big deal.
