Monastery of Jeronimos & Lisboa Card

I am traveling to Portugal in July and I am considering a Lisboa Card for Belem for the free museum entries and free transportation. Since the Monastery of Jeronimos website offers the pre-purchase of timed entries, it is not clear to me how I would get into the Monastery if I am using the Lisboa Card. The "Snapshot Lisbon" book indicates that Lisboa Cardholders need to get a voucher at either the Archeology Museum ticket office or the TI kiosk before heading to the Monastery. Does this mean that I would need to stand in a line after collecting the voucher waiting for whatever the next available timed entry would be?

Conversely, it appears from some of the posts that even if I pre-purchased a timed entry I may still be standing in the same entry line for the same amount of time as someone who is using the Lisboa card entry voucher. If the timing of gaining entry to the Monastery is roughly the same with either a pre-purchased timed entry or a Lisboa card, then that is what I need to know.

Any advice from recent visitors would be appreciated.

We are traveling to Portugal in July as well, so I don't have first hand experience. From what I have found, the Lisboa card DOES NOT give you "skip the line" for the entrances to the monastery or tower; you just skip the ticketing line. It's the entrance lines that are super long (and sunny).
Not sure if the purchase of timed entry gets you in at that time, or does it mean waiting in the entrance line.
Unless someone with experience chimes in, I am leaning toward forgoing the Lisboa card and just buying timed entry tickets and getting a transport pass.
Someone on this forum posted some info re the Belem sites. I'll try to find it again and link it here.

I’m also going to follow this thread as we will be in Lisbon in October. I read there are still long lines even then. I was thinking of visiting the other sights in Belem first and going to the Monestary about an hour before closing time.
Still undecided about visting Sintra.

I was in Lisbon in March and purchased the Lisbon Card to use in Belem. For the Monastery of Jeronimos, just show your Lisbon Card for entry. You do not need to get a voucher. You do need to wait in the same line as everyone else who has the Card and tickets. I suggest getting in line at least 30 minutes before it opens.

For the Belem Tower, you do need to show your Lisbon Card to get a ticket. There was a little trailer in the park next to the Tower where you show your Lisbon card to get a ticket. Then you go wait in line for the Tower.

Carrie: thanks for the info about the tickets and the detailed trip report. I especially appreciated knowing that Lisbon airport can be somewhat chaotic, Forewarned is forearmed!
