With so many attractive and quaint looking villages in Eastern Portugal I am finding it hard to choose. We have 17 nights and are planning a counterclockwise loop Lisbon to Lisbon. We like countryside and historical sites more than cities and are fine with sightseeing enroute and one night stays. Evora is a must, as is Monsanto but interested in recommendations for in between. Which are your favorite villages?
