Hello, in our mid 60's traveling with two grandchildren 19/20. Grandkids like greenery, light hikes, beaches and love to explore and find eating places! We like to sit back and relax and watch them have fun at the moderate activities but we all love shopping and visiting Palaces, Basilicas and Catholic Religious places. Our favorite places in the world are Florence/Rome. Want to explore Portugal. Thinking of spending 2/3 days at Madeira. Looking for a home base, thinking Lisbon for day trips to other areas. Going in late July for approximately 8-10 days since it's the only time we can travel (college).
Need help with an itinerary. Not sure if Lourdes is doable, maybe add a few days and go to Santiago San Sebastian, Spain? Looking at theses areas because I believe these areas are not as hot or humid, hoping something under mid 80's or less. Traveled only in October to Europe before and not sure what to expect.
Appreciate any input and suggestions. Thank you!!!
