Hi! We are planning an October trip to Portgual, with an overnight near Pinhao, staying at Quinta de la Rosa. We will NOT have a car, and will be schlepping very limited luggage (only overnight bags). Is there anywhere we could store the luggage in Pinhao so we could take one of the river cruises? We don't really want to hike out to Quinta de la Rosa just to drop out luggage.

I was in Pinhao briefly last week on a Duoro Valley day tour with boat ride. I don't think there is anywhere likely for leaving luggage. I was there on a Sunday when some of the few shops and restaurants were closed. There are several places that serve coffee and limited food, and some souvenir shops. It might be possible to offer to pay one of them to keep your bags but hard to arrange in advance. My suggestion is to try the river cruise operator. The boat rides and the tour operators that book them deal with thousands of tourists. They may be willing to watch your bags during your boat ride. Also, Quint del la Rosa might have a suggestion or help you arrange with a local shop.
