Loved Portugal!

Spent 9 nights in Portugal (first trip!) Four nights in Coimbra and 5 nights in Lisbon. RS Portugal book very helpful and great investment. Much better guidebook (IMO) then the others I had purchased.

Relaxed, walked many miles, drank delicious wine, ate well and meet some really nice people. Can't wait to go back!
will attempt a mini-trip report soon.

Did you leave Porto for your next trip? :) I think its a must-see on any trip anyone takes to Portugal

Holly,

I also really enjoyed Portugal. Unfortunately it seems to have been "discovered" so it's getting much busier lately and hotel prices have increased since my last visit. I ran out of time on my last visit so wasn't able to fit in a Douro River cruise, but that will definitely be on my list for next year.

Did you attend a Fado performance while there?

Ken,
It was lively when we went due to Easter week, lots of Spanish, French and German tourists.

We went to free fado concert at Cafe Santa Cruz in Coimbra. That's why we have to go to Lisbon to hear fado there!

There is so much to see and experience!

Don't miss doing a 7 day Douro River cruise, it was fantastic.

Loved Porto and our B&B there was the In Patio Guesthouse. Book early, it only has five rooms.
