My husband and I are planning on spending 3-4 weeks in Portugal in Spring 2016. We'd like to split our time between Comporta (or Cascais) and the Evora district and rent a nice (preferably quiet) 2-3 bedroom house or villa in each location. Has anyone found a real gem and can share your experience with us? So far we've looked at rentals on Trip Advisor and Booking.com.
We'd also like to take a few day trips (Lisbon, Sintra, Monsaraz, Elvas, etc.) and explore these regions. It would be nice to travel by train or bus, but we also plan to rent (or lease) a car.
We would appreciate any advice.
