Good day. We are an older couple, planning on staying in the Algarve for a month in March/ April 2025. Probably Lagos on recommendation from friends. Would welcome advice about which town to choose and any accommodation advice. We plan on renting an apartment. Any suggestions welcome.

Jacinto, in September of 2015 I had a really nice experience at Al Mare in Salema. Back then it was more of a BnB and our hostess was most welcoming. Nowadays I believe it is more self serve apartments, which is what I believe you are looking for. One caveat is that there were some stairs to climb to the main reception and my unit but she may have units on the ground floor. Here is the link

Thx ever so much, it looks lovely. We stayed in Sagres previously. I think we are looking for a somewhat bigger town so am going to focus on Lagos.
