My husband and I are visiting Lisbon the first week of May, 2022, and staying at Hotel Mundial, Praca Martim Moniz 2. I'm wondering what area of Lisbon the hotel is located in, and is it easy to get to with public transportation from the airport? Thank you in advance!
Good morning.
I stayed at Hotel Mundial in October. The hotel is in a very good location, surrounded by many parks, restaurants and shops.
There is a grocery store right next to the hotel and many bus/tram stops. It's a pleasant walk down to Praça do Comércio from there via one of the busy shopping streets and a few short blocks away is near Rossi Square.
The hotel has a small terrace restaurant (for lunch) with a lovely view of the city and castle).
You will love Lisbon and Portugal!
That does look like an excellent location. Probably the fastest and least expensive option to get there would be the metro. You could take the Red line to Alameda, then the Green line to Rossio, then a very short walk to your hotel. Map: https://www.metrolisboa.pt/en/travel/diagrams-and-maps/
Also, the Lisbon metro is beautiful! The stations are decorated with tiles.
I forgot to add that a taxi from the airport cost EUR25.00 and the taxi stand is very conveniently located as you exit.
