Hello. My spouse and I plan on taking a day trip to Evora from Lisbon, either 3 or 4 April. Is it a necessity to purchase a train ticket in advance, or can we go to the train station and purchase a ticket the same day. Whether we go or not depends on the weather for the day.

The big advantage of purchasing ahead of time is the 40% discount you receive. I would try to purchase ahead-even if just a few days.
