Should you fly from Lisbon to Barcelona?

Is there are airline that you prefer when doing local flights in Portugal? This is my first time in Portugal and Spain. We are only staying in Lisbon and Barcelona splitting our time between the two (and day trips). I would like to book the flight instead of train due to time limits, but not sure of Vueling, Easy Jet, Tap Air Portugal.....and others. I would appreciate any insight or experiences and which is the most reliable. Thankyou!!

Just be sure to read all the fine print about baggage and seat fees and size/weight limitations. ( and expect the limits to be enforced)

Its a 2 hr flight so even a wooden chair would suffice :-)

I flew nonstop from Porto to Barcelona on Easy Jet in the summer of 2019. Besides what others have said, be aware that there's a time difference. Barcelona is 1 hour ahead of Lisbon, so pay attention to the arrival time.

There is no good train at the moment between Lisbon and Barcelona. It is a series of disconnected segments, requiring changes and some by bus possibly, taking 12 hours, more or less. So flying is the logical choice.

Any of the airlines you mentioned are fine, especially if you can get a direct flight. Just bite the bullet and purchase a ticket class that allows a checked bag. All of those (and any other airline in Europe) will at the most only allow a small bag of 10 kilo or less on the flight, requiring you to purchase a checked bag or seat that allows a checked bag. I have flown RyanAir and EasyJet a number of times, no problems, just know the rules.

If you narrow it down to one or two, post those choices and then there might be some more recommendations. You could also post your travel date, that might offer some insight.

TAP includes a carry-on, however EasyJet and Vueling tickets do not unless you pick that option. As others have mentioned, make sure you know what is and is not included. I've flown TAP and EasyJet and no issues with either.
