Lisbon reasonable accommodation

We are starting The Camino pilgramage in Lisbon in May and are looking for reasonable central accommodation for the first few days. I have checked the suggestions from the last post and all are booked! Any other suggestions are appreciated. We are up for Air B&B, Boutique hotels or any other accommodation, even a hostel with private rooms.

Have you looked on booking.com? I've found the photos on reviews there quite helpful.

Not sure of your budget, but we had a lovely stay last fall at Casa Amora Guesthouse. Juan and his staff run a quality establishment. Our room was two levels with a small sitting and kitchenette area. Nita's breakfasts are incredible!

Thanks for the Air B&B suggestion. Unfotunately we were unable to find anything available for our time period and budget.

I will check out the guest house. I also may have found a room at VIP apartment/hotel. Thanks everyone for your suggestions.

What is your (exact) time period? What is your budget? I found a place in mid-May in Lisbon for four nights: the
Residencial Geres (recommended in Rick's book). I had to book it as 2 + 2 nights separately for different room types, so I guess I'll have to change rooms once - no big deal.

In Booking.com, you can filter by budget and use the map feature to zoom in to an area. For example,
Residencial Geres seems to be in a good area (Baixa, near Rossio station) . Search for that; even if sold out on your nights, set a filter for your budget, then zoom in on the area around the Residencial Geres and look for lodgings near it that are available and read the reviews. You'll find more at a lower price that have shared bathrooms - a last resort for me, but I have done it in a pinch. Sometimes area is more important to me than comfort.

Thanks for the Residence Geres in Lisbon. Unfortunately they are sold out for one of my nights. I will stick to the VIP apartment hotel I have already secured.

May I recommend Alma Moura Residences in the heart of Lisbon. On the street called Calçadinha do Tijolo, 500 meters from Santa Apolonia train station, close to supermarket, Church Se, you can get through inner yard. It's freshly remodeled. Everything is new White themed, kitchen has appliances (fridge, stove, microwave, tea cattle, dishwasher), table, TV, shower. No products, must be bought in supermarket. The owner cleans the apartment and changes linens every 3 days. (so it's hotel like). Friendly owner, but do not count on early check in.

Alma Moura Residences looks great. They are sold out for our dates, but thanks for the suggestion. We will stick with the VIP Eden hotel.
