Lisbon Portugal sites that are not covered in the Tour

I am doing the Rick Steves Portugal tour and am arriving early. Would love suggestions for dinner and sites to see on our first day before the tour starts

The Tile Museum was very interesting showing the history of Portuguese tile decorations. There is also an adjacent tiled church. It is like a Focused art museum. Also not overrun with people. You can get a bus that drops you off from town. Look up the details.

We enjoyed both the National Museum of Ancient Art and the Fado Museum.
We thought the Time Out Market was worth a walk-thru, even if you decide not to eat there. Quite the bustling scene.

The Coach Museum in Belem is also very interesting. We enjoyed a meal at the Time Out Market, too.

Another beautiful place is Mosteiro De Sao Vicente De Fora. The blue and white tiles are gorgeous. Be sure to follow the signs for the rooftop terrace for awesome views of Lisbon and the river.

Second vote for the Coach Museum. We also liked St. George’s castle and the Maritime Museum (in a wing of the Monastery but separate) a few blocks from the Coach Museum. Make sure you taste Pastel de Nata and Ginjinha.
