Just completed a five night stay in Lisbon - late September and early October. A small group of us travelled through Spain and ended up in Lisbon. We used the Rick Steves guidebooks extensively, and weren’t disappointed. We were lucky enough to stay at the Caso do Barao in Lisbon. After staying in several other motels and one Air BnB during the trip, this place was very memorable. It is as described in the book. The owners were truly kind and helpful, going the extra mile in every way. They would open breakfast early to accommodate schedules and even delivered a bit of breakfast the night before a 4 AM checkout! The crystal bottles of port wine in the library each evening and the small courtyard in back - all added to the stay. It’s close to everything. Hats off to the owners and a great stay!
