Lisbon Layover

Hi I'm looking for suggestions or recommendations. My friend has an overnight layover is Lisbon on a Sunday. She lands at 2:15 and is staying a 15 minute walk from São Sebastião Metro station. It's her first time to Europe and she's traveling alone. I'm guessing she would like to see something historical and have dinner in the evening. I think it would be best if she stayed close to the Blue Line of the Metro. Also I'm wondering what time do restaurants and stores close on Sunday in Lisbon?
Thanks.

The blue line has a Rossio and Baixa/Chiado stop. She could find a lot to see and do around either stop. My preference would be the Baixa/Chiado stop. From there she can go downhill to the Baixa area, walk down to the river to Praça do Comércio and/or shop in the Baixa area. She can then go back through the metro, take the escalators up to Chiado. Here she will find more shopping, some of the best restaurants, etc.
From the Rossio stop, she will find a lot of restaurants but they are more touristy (as in the Baixa area), and could walk down to the river, also.
Most restaurants will be open until late in the evening. Sorry, but I’m not certain about shops.
