Lisbon Hotel with Outside Public Area

Hello all, I'm trying to book a hotel for two couples in a convenient location in Lisbon. On our wish-list is that the hotel has some kind of outdoor public seating and preferably with a view. In can be a terrace, rooftop deck, courtyard or sidewalk seating. We just don't want to spend our time indoors except to sleep. I'm finding that rather difficult in Lisbon and Porto. We also need for it to be convenient to the main sites. We are looking for something in the medium price range around $200 per night.
I know that's a lot to ask for but it a 40th anniversary celebration so we really want some good experiences.
Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks much!
Linda

A quick google search found the Hotel do Chiado has a rooftop bar with great views. I think if you google ‘hotels outside space’ or something similar, you can easily find a number of places. Since Lisbon has such great weather, many restaurants and hotels have some type of outside space. I’ve been using booking.com pretty extensively all over Europe, and find their pictures and reviews are very helpful to see views, etc.

Check out Hotel Mundial. I have stayed here and the roof deck/bar has incredible views, especially at night. The hotel has a great breakfast and is located in a central area of downtown Lisbon. It should also be in your budget.

Thanks Carl, I saw that one but then read some bad reviews so skipped it. I'll give it another look!

Thanks Kathrynj, I'll look at that one again. I read it needed refurbishing. I know I sound picky but this really is a special occasion so I want it all to be as perfect as it can be for the price we are willing to pay! Doesn't everyone! :-)

I just looked a little more and found a couple that look good with better reviews. One even has a private attic suite with private terrace. Since I don’t know your dates, I couldn’t determine costs. Memmo Principal Real - Design Hotels looks great. And, Solar Dos Mouros has the suite with private terrace.

Which ever hotel you decide upon, remember there are many Miradouros scattered all around Lisbon. And all have bars and restaurants where you can enjoy the views.
