We will be in Lisbon for a few nights late spring following a cruise. Would very much appreciate hotel suggestions, woild prefer to stay near transit/center city. Thank you for any help in this search!

We stayed in Browns Central Hotel which is located in Baixa, city center. The subway station is a 2-3 minute walk from the hotel. We either walked to most sites or took the subway. We enjoyed our stay immensely . They have a complimentary excellent breakfast and we ate twice in the restaurant on the premises.

We really liked Hotel Lisboa Plaza - it was the tour hotel for the start of a Rick Steves tour. Nice hotel, great location near Restauradores metro stop and Rossio train station. Walkable to Rua Augusta shopping/dining.
