We may ahve found an appartement for our august stay, but we have a hard time figuring if the location is good. We know many people tell to stay In Chiado, but we can't find a plan that show me exactly where Chiado is located.
The appartement is between Rossio and Biaxa-Chiado stations, just beside Elevador de Santa Justa (on R, Aurea street)

You can find the Elevador de Santa Justa on GoogleMaps, along with metro stations, etc. It's very central and convenient.
That sounds more like Baixa than Chiado. However, the Baixa- Chiado metro station is quite close and has escalators you can use easily (without paying) to get up the (significant) hill between Baixa and Chiado. Chiado is at the top of the Santa Justa Elevador. When you get off the metro at Chiado and go up the escalators, you exit in Chiado. You can easily find the metro stop on a map and be able to identify Chiado.
Be prepared for significant crowds either place and I would definitely recommend air conditioning in your apartment for August.
