Lisbon card experience?

Hi,

I was wondering for those who used Lisbon card(I not sure if the official website is https://www.lisboacard.org or https://shop.visitlisboa.com/products/lisboa-card), how your experience was. Did all the claims including admission to attractions and unlimited access to public transportation work as it’s supposed to?
Debating whether it’s reasonable to get individual tickets for my family given mixed reviews on Monastery and the castle and my short stay in Lisbon.
Thank you!

I am hoping for a response to your thread. I saw that there are two types of "city" cards for Lisbon.

I personally would probably put more weight on what folks say here, but I also recently ran across this YouTube video that discussed these two, which I thought was at least pretty informative, But again it always seems getting "city cards" is something that is pretty personal. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ChNxwMCIhM
I will be sure to keep an eye on this post to see the discussion and experiences,

Hi! I was in Lisbon last year and used the Lisboa card. It does give you unlimited transportation (which is nice), but especially the Monastery, you DON’T get to skip the line, although you do get free entry. I got a 4 day pass and felt it was an ok value (very convenient) but it is expensive. For a family, idk if it would be worth it.
If you want to get it at the airport, the service desk is just to the left of the door leading to the subway.

Thanks for posting this. I am trying to stay near Baixa Chiado, so much is within walking distance…. Are you going to Sintra. I understand that there is a Sinta card as well. It seems the train is covered by the Lisbon card as well.

24 hour card has better value than zapping as it covers trams and funiculars too.

There are three versions of this card

First is as above
Second one add CP trains
Third one doesn't have VP trains but adds ferries

Note that it is 24h and not cale dar day and starts from first validation.

I too found both websites (lisboacard.org and visitlisboa.com). Perhaps they're the same organisation, however to avoid the risk of a scam (especially with having to buy cards for my family of 5), I plan to purchase the cards once we get to Lisbon (and forgo the 5% savings).

On the three day pass (54 Euros), we plan to visit the National Pantheon (8 Euros), Castelo de Sao Jorge (15), Belem Tower (8), Jeronimos Monastery (12). That's 43 Euros and if we add in any Funiculars (3.80-5.30) and the Pilar 7 Experience (5.50), plus the Metro/Train/Bus costs, we should get our money's worth. But if we scale back on any of those, then it's probably not worth it.

Can you flash this card and get entry or you have to wait in line to exchange voucher or show this card to get ticket?

At monastery, there is yet another line for entry (even after getting ticket)

Over the years, Castello has been added/removed from Lisboa card multiple times. It has been very recently added.

So always double check before buying
