Lisbon - Can I board from Apolonia, ticket booked from Oriente?

Hello,
We are going to Porto from Lisbon in September via the high speed train and have booked our tickets from Oriente to Campanha. After booking our tickets, we realized that it would be much easier to get to Apolonia train station from our hotel than the Oriente train station.
Can we just board the train from Apolonia instead of Oriente? I know we should have done our research upfront before booking the tickets but cant do much now. We don't mind changing the ticket to originate from Apolonia as well, but don't know if it is possible. Our train originates from Apolonia and the ticket prices to Porto Campanha are the same from Oriente or Apolonia.

Thanks!

In the past we have changed tickets by going in person to the train station the day before, didn't have any issues, you can do the same for your own peace of mind.

No one is going to sit on your reserved seats from Santa Apolonia to Oriente - try buying tickets for that on the AP train , only the local trains are available for that short run.

We've been on that train and didn't see any ticket checking until after Oriente, however it's always possible that the train conductor might be on a bad mood and give you a hard time.

This may be a moot point because Santa Apolónia is closing for 6-8 months starting in September. I have been unable to find an exact date, however. You might be able to find it on cp.pt or find tickets simply being unavailable.

My understanding is that only the Metro Line that goes to Santa Apolonia is going to be closed, but the actual train station will remain operational.

The underground work is needed to reinforce the Metro tunnel and stabilize the surrounding ground, the floods have exarcebated the problem.
The work is supposed to start this month and continue for 8 months.

Additional buses will be available to replace the Metro line.
