Hi. I am a single girl traveling alone to Lisbon for four days. Any suggestions on where to stay and well/reasonably? Anything you loved to do, see, eat? I do have a Rick Steves book on the way. Thanks!

I'd recommend doing the three walking tours in Rick's book, visiting Belem and Sintra if you have the time. Also, a visit to the Gulbenkian Museum. I stayed at Brown's Downtown Hotel and loved it. Great rooms, reasonable prices, convenient area and safe.

Let me also recommend the museum. We went our last day in Lisbon and it was fantastic. As for highlites...we spent 10 days in Lisbon and can't recall a highlite. The whole city was a delight. Soak up the ambiance. Unlike so many tourist destinations Lisbon still has real people. Venice or Prague are jaw dropping, but there are no real people in the old town, only T-shirt shops (and glass shops). Lisbon deserves slow walks.
