Lisbon and Porto accommodations

My daughter and I enjoyed our stay at My Story Apartments Santa Catarina in Porto, and at My Story Charming Hotel Augusta in Lisbon. Both of these places are in great locations.

In Porto we booked the “Family Studio with View” and enjoyed having a small balcony.

In Lisbon, our room faced Rua Augusta, a pedestrian only street lined with shops restaurants and pastry shops.

I stayed at the My Story Lisboa Tejo on my visit to Lisbon and would recommend the hotel. It's in a great location and the breakfast was wonderful. However, I should mention that the hotel has changed hands since I stayed there, so I'm assuming that everything is still the same?

In Porto I stayed at Hotel da Bolsa and would absolutely recommend that. The room was very modern, they had a nice bar adjacent to the front desk, they served a great breakfast and the hotel is in a perfect location, only a short distance from the Stock Exchange Palace.

For travel in July, I would strongly suggest getting your room booked soon.

I absolutely loved my stay at Inspira Santa Marta Hotel in Lisbon in January. Then modern, Zen inspired calm and lovely spa were a real retreat after jam packed days of sightseeing. As a woman traveling solo, I felt they kept an extra over me which was reassuring. The staff were delightful. I got to know several of them personally over the course of five days. I even rearranged my travel plans to return for a final night there before leaving Lisbon. The staff surprised me with extra special gift and a lovely card signed by all when I left. Many of my most fond memories of Lisbon were the personal connections with the staff there. It is also a brilliant hotel, close to everything, quiet at night and a lovely breakfast.
