Hi, Just learned Ryanair at lisbon airport requires printed boarding pass for non shengen citizens flying within EU. I have early flight tomorrow lisbon to bordeaux. Does anyone have experience printing bosrding pass at terminal 2? Nothing online about kiosks, seems to be bare bones terminal for cheap flights. I do not have access to printer. Thank you.
All Ryanair flights require a printed boarding pass (in case you have future flights). In this case, I dont know how to find a printer but Ryanair will print it for you for a [steep] charge. Sorry
Are you at a hotel? If so, ask the hotel if they can print it for you.
Is this something new? I’ve flown Ryanair a number of times and never printed my boarding pass. What a pain! Another reason to avoid them!
FYI - terminal 2 is quite small so I question the likelihood of being able to print them there. However, there are photo shops in Lisbon. One of them is Instanta. They will print documents for you very cheaply.
The reason that all non-EU passengers need to have a printed boarding pass is that these passengers must have their travel documents checked and stamped at the Ryanair Visa/Document Check Desk before going through airport security. Ryanair can’t stamp a boarding pass on your phone, so that’s why it needs to be printed. Ryanair requires this from non-EU nationals on all their flights and on all airports. This only applies to non-EU passengers, so EU passengers can still use the electronic boarding pass.
So in addition to finding a place to print, you also need to calculate extra time for this document check.
Ask your hotel ! Email it to them, they will print it.
For the record, i did NOT need a printed boarding pass on Ryanair from Prague to Budapest. (Us citizen) My boarding pass did not ask doxument check and i flew thru security and gates onto the plane with just my phone. I did everything using their app.
But you go get that printout. The document check (from what i have read) happens at in the check-in area. Budget 1 hour for it.
