Lisbon airport strikes in June question

We are scheduled on a 12:15pm Delta flight out of Lisbon non-stop back to Boston during one of the announced SIIFF strike weekends. Am I naive to think that since we're departing the country, with carryon luggage only, flying business class, that we won’t be seriously impacted by the strike? I can’t remember if there’s any sort of passport/border control when leaving a European country flying directly back to the States, and if so, are there typically separate lines for business/first class that might expedite the process? Thanks for any insight.

You will go through passport control leaving the Schengen area to the US. There are no special lines for business class. However, with US passports being able to go through the electronic gates, the process is massively better.

Strikes have plagued us in Portugal this year! Here’s hoping they settle the grievances before June.
