I don't know if anyone is arriving in Portugal this week, but a strike by SEF employees at the airport has been announced for 24-25 August.
SEF is the part of the airport that does passport control and their strike will make your wait much longer than usual. If you are arriving from another Schengen airport, this shouldn't affect you.
It will be over at 00.01 on 26 August.

Thanks Kathryn. I did a double-take because our original arrival was planned for the 25th, but we changed to Sept 3rd. Can't wait. Thanks again for the update.
