We have a flight out of Lisbon at 5 am on a Tuesday coming up. We will return our rental car on Monday. I am wondering since we have to be at the airport at 3 am for our flight what our best option is for “overnight” accommodation - since we will need to be leaving wherever we stay at 2:30 am I am reluctant to pay much and wish there was an option for a pod at the airport or something but it doesn’t look like they have anything like that.

Arrange for a taxi to take you from there to the airport.
Sleep on the flight.
( at least I would consider that--- I would just have to get the Boss to approve)

Whoa! The only thing good about that flight is the airport is in town and not an hour away. Do you know which terminal you’re going out of? I see One is open 24 hours while Two doesn’t open til 3:30 am so there would be no reason to be there at 3.
We have the same scenario in November...5:30 flight to Paris and then the West Coast (sometimes miles used require such things!)
Made reservation at the Melia Lisbon airport the night prior--after 17 days of travel I'm sure we will be tired enough to get an early dinner and some rest.
