Lisbon Airport

Our flight into Lisbon from Heathrow arrived late at night and baggage claim was fast. Uber was well marked throughout the airport but busy, so cars took a bit of time to get to the pick up point. We departed Lisbon early on a Sunday. Baggage drop off is on the 3rd floor and flight departures on the 4th floor. If you have checked in to your flights online, it was pretty quick to tag and drop your bag. And there were a lot of staff members to assist. Getting through security took us about 10 minutes and they had a reader board showing an estimated time the line would take. Honestly, I thought the airport was a breeze BUT both our arrival and departure were at off-peak hours. As for flights leaving on schedule... our plane parked was out on a tarmack so we needed to bus out to the plane. We were delayed about 25 minutes due to "volume of flights" and a fellow passenger made a comment about LIsbon flights often sitting on the tarmack for extra time. Hope this helps!

I had a similar experience to Sue this past October. We had an early flight and had only carry-on bags. In the early morning, we were able to get through security quickly. We had to take a bus to the tarmac and the flight was delayed more than an hour. I allowed 2 hours to connect through London to SFO and with the delay in Lisbon, the only way we made our flight was to run. I would recommend that you check the on time percentage for your flight from Lisbon and book enough time if you have a substantial delay so you can easily make your Heathrow flight.
