Lisboa train station most convenient to airport

Hi everyone,

We are planning our last three days in Portugal. We will have been there for a week with two sets of friends, in Lisbon and Porto and then have three nights to ourselves before we fly to Gatwick on July 11. Which Lisbon train station is best to connect to the airport?

Oriente is a major train station and it’s only 3 or so stops on the metro from the airport. If you are coming back to Lisbon from Porto, Oriente is an easy stop. There is also a large mall and a number of hotels. When searching for a room, it will either be the Oriente area or the Parque da Nações areas.
However, it’s easy from most areas of Lisbon to the airport, as it’s so close to the center. So, unless you really want to, there is no real necessity of staying close to the airport.
