LIS to PHL

We will Uber to Lisbon Humberto Delgado airport and I am wondering if we can just use a kiosk inside for tickets,
then find our way to/thru security and the gate to American Airlines to Philadelphia?
THANKS

“I am wondering if we can just use a kiosk inside for tickets,”

Tickets for what? The airfare? I’m confused about what you are asking. Do you mean your boarding pass? If so, typically you need to check in at the airline desk for international flights. They need to check your passport. Then they will print your boarding pass.

Use the app for the airline. If they allow you to check in online, then you should receive your boarding passes in the app. Then you don’t need to check in at the counter. But you will probably need to have your passport checked at the gate desk.

Do you not have the American Airlines app on your phone?
I flew Lisbon to PHL this spring and don't recall any issues with the airport that would be different than any other airport. I don't recall if there were kiosks or not, but I always check in and get my boarding pass online.

I will down load the American Airlines app, good for delays ect to watch for too. Sounds like head to the American Airlines
ticket counter and show passport and let them just print out a ticket.
Got it.

When you check-in online (24 hours before), the airline will let you know if you need to check-in again at the counter (to check passports etc) or if you can head to the gate where they will check your passport prior to boarding. There are kiosks at the Lisbon airport to print out boarding passes if needed. Personally I've gotten a message to check in again at the counter, so have not been lucky enough to avoid that extra line.

I departed from Lisbon last summer and had only a carry-on, so I didn't go to Delta's counter, just headed through immigration. I either checked in online or used a kiosk to get my boarding pass--don't recall. Once at the gate, I had my passport checked.

If you haven't gotten your boarding pass on the app before, it's a good idea to do a screenshot to make it easily accessible when needed.

Even with a boarding pass for an international flight on the app, I still look for an automated check in machine to scan my passport and print a boarding pass. That usually satisfies the requirement for the airline to review the passport, so I don't have to do it again at the gate. Most airports have at least some of these machines dedicated to carry-on only that rarely have lines (or very, very short lines). YMMV.
