Late November Early December travel

We will be arriving in Lisbon by cruise ship 21 November and departing via another cruise ship on 3 December. We have been to Portugal several times in the past but now have some mobility limitations (hubby uses oxygen and is not a big fan of walking up and down hills and/or lots of stairs).

Right now we are considering spending 3/4 nights in Cascais as we have enjoyed it in the past and like the restaurants. We want to spend the last 3/4/5 nights in Lisbon. What do we do with the 4/5 days in the middle? We don't want to rent a car but are fine with taking the train. We are not interested in going to Porto again. Cool/wet weather is not a significant deterrent. We have looked around the Forum and were considering spending the time in the Algarve as we have not been there before but haven't seen lots of encouragement to the other folks who have proposed that area. Tavira seems like a reasonable spot.

Please help us with any other suggestions that would be good for this time of year.

Evora might be an option if you choose not to do the Algarve. Easy by train and bus from Lisbon.
