My husband and I cannot decide between a land tour Porto to Lisbon with stops or Douro river cruise.
Should we go in September or October? We are planning to go for 11 days or so. Any input would be helpful. Thanks

We take 1-2 river cruises per year. We love the all inclusive ones the best - but here is our order of favorites.

Really different trips. I have not taken a Douro river cruise but have seen some of Portugal on the RS tour. We loved Portugal. The people, food, towns and cities, historical sites. On the Douro, although you will see some interesting places and have the leisure of unpacking and packing once, you won’t see much of what Portugal has to offer. I’d opt for a land tour.
