Lagos in October

The Portugal book says many Lagos restaurants, sights, etc., close down in winter. I'm going in October. Is everything still open then?

My experience with Lagos is that everything stays open all year since it’s as large as it is. Some of the smaller Algarve towns do almost shut down, but not Lagos. I’ve been there in early March and October and noticed nothing being closed.

We were in Algarve in mid October 2024. We did not notice anything shut down. There were less boat rides scheduled snd not as many choices of days and times. We did not end up taking one for that reason. We did not stay in Lagos but did visit. In October, Lagos was pretty sedate-more older people than young.

We enjoyed driving around the Algarve and it would not been nearly so pleasant in peak season.
