June Itinerary - Lisbon to Porto to Azores

Hi,
I am looking for help fine-tuning an literary. We are doing a honeymoon in June, flying into Lisbon, then up to Porto and flying from Porto to Sao Miguel before back to the states. 13 days total. Looking for a good mix of relaxation and adventure.

Since we could not fit in the Algarve, but still wanted some beach time post wedding, were thinking of starting with a couple days in Cascais to relax. However, I am hesitant since I have not seen it mentioned much in this forum. Are there other places that are worth fitting in? I have seen a lot of mention of Evora and Combira. Any recommendations are welcome! Not decided on car vs train, will depend on itinerary.

Thanks!

Cascais isn’t mentioned a lot in this forum, likely because RS doesn’t include it in his books. And, for those of us who live here - we are grateful he doesn’t! We are definitely on the tourist radar enough without his recommendation.
Cascais has several small beaches in town and a very large one (Guincho) a short distance out of town. The water won’t be warm enough for swimming unless you like really cold water. But, beach season is in full swing in June.
If you have a car, there are a number of beaches out side of Sintra, also.
Both Evora and Coimbra are well worth a visit. But, with your short time in the country and trying to fit in the Azores, I’m not thinking you will have the time.
