We are looking for a group tour, preferably a small group tour, of Jewish Lisbon Portugal. Does anyone have a recommendation? Thank you!

While Jewish history in Portugal is not as prevalent as in other countries it does have some.
In particular the Portuguese are proud of Aristides de Sousa Mendes ( official Portuguese Consul in Bordeux ) during the second world war, he defied the law, risked his own life and issued visas / letters of passage to 30,000 Jewish people escaping nazi Germany, thus saving their lives.
He was arrested and punished for what he did by the Portuguese dictator Salazar.
In 1966 Yad Vashem (Memorial Holocausto in Jerusalém) planted trees in his honor and declared him " Just among nations".
In 1986 ( posthumously) he awarded the Portuguese Order of Freedom.
Since then he has been awarded a number of honours including a memorial plaque in Bayonne, France and even Air Portugal has named a airplane in his Honour.
Happy travels
