JERONIMOS MONASTERY Skip the line

Hello,
A group of 4 of us are going to JERONIMOS MONASTERY in mid-July, but heard the lines can be crazy! (And that people can have tickets/be in a tour group that cuts the line, making the line go even slower).

I heard you could buy a ticket for Belem Tower and the Monastery and skip the line - anyone have experience with this? Or another good idea on how to beat the line :)

Thank you!

I don't know of any "skip-the-line" options, but in mid-July I would definitely suggest going early while it's still relatively cool. I was there in late August and waiting in the queue for tickets was an extremely unpleasant experience. I noted in my trip record that tickets could also be purchased at the nearby Archeological Museum but there was a queue there also.

I'd suggest checking the RS Portugal guidebook for the most up-to-date information on that. You should be able to find a copy of that at your local library or local bookstores.

If you need a cool beverage after your visit to the Monastery, as I recall there's a McDonald's across the street, close to the Tram stop.
