How is this for an itinerary?
Fly to Porto on July 19th. Stay four nights.
On the 24th, take a train to Faro in the Algarve. I am not sure where to make our base.
Stay in the Algarve from the 24th to the 1st.
On the 1st, take the train to Lisbon. Stay in Lisbon until the 3rd. Fly home to NYC.
Thoughts?
What plans do you have in the Algarve? I didn't find it all that exciting. A week seems a long time down there to me, and you're giving yourselves only one full day in Lisbon. But perhaps this isn't your first trip to Lisbon?
Yes, we have both spent a week in Lisbon previously.
We both loved it. We went to Sintra and Coimbra on that trip.
What are your interests? Will you have a car in the Algarve?
