In Almancil Portugal for about 6 days this December

Hello
We are a family of four - my husband, I and our two kids (9 and 6 yrs).

We have a trip planned to Almancil ,portugal this December, 2019.

We are looking at our options of traveling to Lisbon and Porto or Lisbon and Seville in Spain.
1. Would you recommend that we visit Lisbon and Seville or Lisbon and Porto?
2. What are our travel options to travel to all these cities from almancil ? We will be based out of Almancil the six days that we are there .
3. Could you suggest (in the short span of time that we are there) the main tourist attractions we should be visiting in all these cities

Thank you so much

Hi,
Is your accomodation flexible? Almancil is in the Algarve, and it is too far to day trip to Lisbon or Seville - let alone Porto.

Are you hiring a car? Neither Lisbon or Seville is an obvious day trip from Almancil as a day trip if driving, as both are 3+ hours each way on toll roads. Parking is an issue in both places. Both are non-starters as a day trip by public transport. The train station in Almancil is a mile out of the town centre. There are no trains to Seville from Portugal, but there is a regular bus service.

You haven’t got time for Porto, as it’s another half day beyond Lisbon.

Is your accommodation fixed in Almancil? Lisbon is a better base for December.

Hi

Our accommodation was booked many months ago and is fixed . We could stay a night or two in Lisbon and Seville Or Lisbon and Porto , though

We want to make the best use of our stay

Doesn’t matter if it gets a little hectic .

You could stay two nights in Seville OR Lisbon, but not both, they are in opposite directions. Porto is just too far, not worth it. Driving would be most convenient; you'll probably need a car in Almancil anyway. What do you plan to do there in December by the way?

Where are you landing? How are you getting to Almancil?
Cars should be very cheap to rent in December, except perhaps around christmas: check Auto Europe for prices. The closest car rental options should be in Faro, if this is where you land you should just rent a car at the airport.
