It’s been a while since I’ve traveled to Europe, and I’ve kinda forgotten how things work as a US citizen with immigration and customs in Schengen countries. We have a flight originating in the US that takes us to our connecting airport, AMS. I know that we must clear immigration and customs there. Then we fly on to Porto. If I remember correctly, since Portugal is also a Schengen country, we won’t have to go through immigration and customs at OPO. Am I correct? I’m asking within the context of striking Portuguese immigration agents, and I want to be prepared for what lies ahead. We arrive in Porto on May 27. Thanks!
