Immigration and Customs at Porto airport?

It’s been a while since I’ve traveled to Europe, and I’ve kinda forgotten how things work as a US citizen with immigration and customs in Schengen countries. We have a flight originating in the US that takes us to our connecting airport, AMS. I know that we must clear immigration and customs there. Then we fly on to Porto. If I remember correctly, since Portugal is also a Schengen country, we won’t have to go through immigration and customs at OPO. Am I correct? I’m asking within the context of striking Portuguese immigration agents, and I want to be prepared for what lies ahead. We arrive in Porto on May 27. Thanks!

You are correct, though to be exact you will go through immigration passport control in Amsterdam where they stamp the entry into Schengen and then customs with nothing to declare in Porto.
