We will be leaving Lisbon, heading to Cascáis for 3 days. We would like to do a day trip in Sintra on the way. Any suggestions for storing our bags for the day? Are there lockers at the train station or any other options for storing bags while in Sintra for the day? Thank you

Sintra’s train station has medium and small lockers. There are left luggage counters located nearby with
“Tempo de Tradicoes” being one that’s right outside the train station.

I recently had a positive experience storing luggage through Bounce in France. They have an app and website that works a little like Airbnb. They also provide free insurance up to $10,000. I believe they do both short term (hours) and days but you can check their website.

Don't know your schedule/timing, but you might also consider going directly to
Cascais, dropping off bags, and then driving or taking the bus to Sintra.
