How's the area near Avenida metro station as a base for Lisbon?

This area appears slightly upscale and calmer than the heart of Beixia but close enough to walk to the main tourist areas. What do you think? I also like that it's near the metro as I will rely on that to get to and from the airport.

I checked rates for Uber going to/from the airport to Lisbon city. Apparently the rate is like $10? Is it really that cheap? May not be worth it to take the metro or base lodging on the subway then.

€10-15 for an airport trip is about right depending on the time of day and demand. Bolt (or Uber) rideshare is very cheap throughout Portugal. If you have 4 people in your group, you may find it cheaper and more convenient to use a Bolt for door-to-door service instead of walking and waiting for public transit. For example, our group of six found it cheaper and faster to hire a Bolt XL to take us from our condo in Lisbon to the Pena Palace in Sintra instead of fussing with the local metro, train and Sintra bus.

I have no familiarity with the Avenida area. I think wherever you stay in Lisbon, hills and walking are unavoidable.
