HOTELS/ or B&B or cheaper guest houses prices

After reading the prices on the Hotels in the 2025 book I literally had to go lay down......wow
Ok so now I will not expect or want so much.
Comfort, safety peace and easy access to breakfast is what I am looking for
I really didn't want a Hotel but it seems that's what is offered and I need to find one in Lisbon and Porto
Lisbon is so expensive...lovely places buy quotes are nearly 500 EURO for the weekend

I sure would love to hear what you recommend
Lisbon March 12 -15 (there abouts )

Porto 21-23 or there about we leave for Ireland 23rd

Look at current rates on travel sites like Booking, Expedia, TripAdvisor, etc. and I’m sure you can find nice and affordable hotels in wherever you intend to visit and within your budget. Rates in any guidebook are obsolete well before the book is published.

Last week of February 2025 we stayed at Augusta Boutique House. Yes it's on touristy Rua Augusta but it's a block from Rossio Square so well connected to buses and the train station. Avoid the restaurants on Rua Augusta but a couple of blocks in either direction and you will find some good places. Rooms are small but immaculately clean, bathroom was a decent size with great water pressure, and breakfast was included. We heard no street noise.
