Hotel Recommendations - Lisbon

Looking for recommendations for 3-4 nights in Lisbon in April. Trying to budget 150 euros per night. Neighborhoods convenient for walking (not afraid of hills) and affordable restaurants. Prefer quiet locations to lively. Size of room not a big deal as I know they tend to be smaller in many European cities. I have RS book on Portugal and am looking at his recommendations which seem to go from $$$$/$$$ down to dives with not much in between. So any personal recommendations appreciated.

Also since we will be returning a car rental to Lisbon airport at end of our trip in early May, do you suggest staying at hotel close to airport for a 11am flight? Or would a hotel in central Lisbon with Uber/Bolt service provide sufficient time?

No need to stay close to the airport. The central part of Lisbon is quite close to the airport and Uber or Bolt will be fine.
You might want to try Booking.com for hotel ideas. Main areas to stay are Baixa, Chiado, Rossio, Alfama, Príncipe Real. I would avoid Bairro Alto if you want quiet at night.

in Principe Real,
https://www.1869principereal.com/ is great and near your price point. We love the area.

I agree (as usual) with Kathryn that the airport is too close to "downtown Lisbon" to bother staying at the airport.
It sounds like you are flying into Lisbon and then exploring by car. I suggest you not hire the care while staying in Lisbon. Pick it up to explore.
