Hello,
I will be in Lisbon in early March and am looking for recommendations for a safe, clean & reasonably priced hotel in Lisbon within walking distance to the center of the city. Thanks for your help.
I will be staying at the My Story Rossio this coming April. It is recommended in the RS Portugal guide. It is across the street from the D. Pedro IV Square and close to the Rossio Metro Station. I haven't been to Portugal yet, but it looks good on Google maps. Perhaps others who have stayed there can comment?
Safety isn’t really something you need to be concerned with in Lisbon or Portugal in general. Baixa, Chiado, Príncipe Real are all good areas.
I stayed at VIP Executive Aparthotel Eden, directly on Restauradores Square. It is steps (maybe 30 steps from the hotel entrance) from the metro station and bus stops, making it convenient for transit to and from the airport and sightseeing. My room had a kitchenette.
Check out 1869 Príncipe Real House .
We have stayed in the area for all 4 times we visited Lisbon and found it just enough off the harried zone to be relaxing.
We spent a couple of wonderful nights here and highly recommend it.
Plus, one of the best restaurants in Lisbon is on the same block!
Dennis
Thanks to all for the recommendations. I appreciate the advice.
